We flew from Bali, Indonesia to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where we had a 9 hour layover. Instead of spending it in the lounge, we went to a rooftop Helicopter Pad turned into a bar to meet a new friend – Hamza 🙂 But first we ate our favorite Asian street foods that we have missed 🙂

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” and taking more trips together and finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and travel hacking over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this YouTube channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling. So we extended our 1 year trip to THREE years 🙂 Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before Nate turns 30 (which is March 20, 2019)! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. 🙂

  1. That lounge in Bali was a GODSEND! I had spend the whole day in Ubud SWEATING BUCKETS. The main airport before security wasn't air conditioned either. The shower in that lounge was legit the best shower of my whole life. Thanks Priority Pass!

  2. Lol, I love that you guys came here and just went to spots that I frequent haha. I used to work at the DoubleTree where you stayed at and Hamza was a work acquaintance as well as Turkish Airlines Crew Members stayed at the DoubleTree for their layover daily. Hilarious to see him here.

  3. After hours of easy binging I'm here, with a slight depression that I'm binging to quickly and it will soon end 🙁

  4. I feel the same way when it comes to turbulence that Kara feels I love traveling but I don’t like turbulence 👍🏼

  5. Hey! Question! I am looking at flying to Bali and I would have a very short layover in Kuala Lumpur. The ticket I am thinking of purchasing states below it "transit visa may be required." I am also American, when you are transferring flights there as Americans do you need a "transit visa?" And, if so, how do I go about acquiring one? Any advice would be super appreciated. P.S. I love your vlog style. You guys are very cute together haha.

  6. The next time when you are in Malaysia, you should try street burger… It's soooooo goooooood that you just wanna crave more. The stalls are usually in front of a convenience store, for example 99 speedmart or 7 eleven!!!

  7. Bun comes in all kinds of fillings. Maybe you know this already. I love steam buns!! Coconut with palm sugar .. chicken curry with potatoes.. anchovies will chillies .. the possibilities are endless!
